Champagne weekend
15 November 2025
Dufweholms Herrgård invites you to an exclusive Champagne weekend where you will be part of an experience beyond the ordinary. Have you ever tasted a Champagne that has been at the bottom of the sea? Which is also over 100 years old? In our unique wine cellar you will find the treasure lying in an aquarium, so it continues its storage in the same way as from 1916. The weekend begins with a delicious afternoon tea with accompanying Champagne tasting together with Ulf and Bernhard Smedberg.
His father Ulf is a civil engineer, who with his great interest in wine had the opportunity during the 90s to be responsible for the wine selection in SAS's 56 stores in 6 countries, as well as the leadership of the SAS Wine Club.
His son Bernhard Smedberg is the first Swedish winemaker in Champagne. In 2022, he started Champagne Berivagus, with a lease of 0.32 hectares in the Grand Cru village of Mesnil sur Oger. His first visit to Champagne was at the age of 4 and he has worked with wine with a focus on champagne all his life. Read more at www.berivagus.com
For the evening, you are welcomed to Dufweholm's wine cellar where Ulf and Bernhard open the shipwreck champagne Heidseck Monopole 1907 and listen to the story of the find together with Claes Bergvall, who found the ship and was a dive leader. The tasting in the cellar is followed by a delicious 7-course dinner with exciting wine packages in the manor's dining room.
After dinner, you'll sleep well in one of the manor's unique rooms and wake up the next day to a tasty breakfast.
